It's no panacea, but from what I hear it's quite effective when walking on hard surfaces. I think the sand acted as an additional dampener. Great video, Ron 👍

Yup setting the fancy modes on this drone is a puzzle, but it can be done!

Thanks for doing this comparison Ron. Like some others I can’t really see a difference between Freewell and Start RC but both looked good. Definitely need nd filters to get that motion blur especially at low level.

Hey, did you modify any of the camera settings like the shutter while using these ND filters? Edit: never mind, I see you clarified everything was shot in auto at the end of the video.

I've the Freewell filters for the Avata 2. Waiting for the smoke to clear before I test them out.

Hi Ron, IMO there is no need for different ND filters on drones with a fixed aperture. If someone would get to work, they would create a filter that uses auto-density glass like what is used in auto-darking sunglasses. Sometimes the sky is crystal clear where using a single ND filter may make sense. However, there are many times where clouds cause overcast that need ND filter adjustment. It surprises me that no drone filter manufactures haven't offered auto-density filters that change density based on ambient light. Sunglass manufactures have had auto-density glass sunglasses for years. Wake up drone filter manufactures, wake up. Fixed aperture drone cameras could really use auto-darking filters.

Mine seemed to work when I wasn’t recording in 5.7k. 4K and 3K recorded for longer with no error message. I stopped testing it at 3 minutes though.

I was impressed Ron. Colors seemed natural and not overblown. Fimi is getting there.

This Fimi Mini v3 has the best camera quality that I've ever seen on a Fimi drone.

The Fimi's are great value for money but I wish they would do more work to improve the camera colour science & white balance.

Hi Ron, thank you for the great review of the video quality from the Fimi Mini 3. I agree with you that Fimi has come a long way. The Fimi Mini 3 with all the smart features, for the cost, is a good drone worth owning.
